amec and its community of industrial companies promote the celebration of BforPlanet, a major international event focused on promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN) in the private sector, the first edition of which will take place from the 7th to the 8th of July in Barcelona. amec , continuing with its purpose , which is to contribute, from the industry, so that the change of era in which we find ourselves is safe, transversal and positive for people and for the planet , has collaborated closely in the organization of this unavoidable appointment. Due to the pandemic, a Congress will take place this year that will be the appointment prior to the event, which will take place in 2022, when it hopes to receive organizations and companies from all over the world to become an international benchmark in promoting sustainable economic activity.
Meanwhile, BforPlanet has held various meetings in digital format, such as the one on July 9 . The general director of amec , Joan Tristany, participated as presenter of the conference, which brought together personalities such as the Vice President of the Government and Minister of Ecological Transition, the director of the WWF international Climate and Energy program and former Minister of the Environment of Peru, Manuel Pulgar -Vidal, and the former Minister of the Environment of Ecuador and director of the WWF Foundation (2010 – 2017), Yolanda Kakabadse.
Tristany was also in charge of closing the second meeting held on October 29 , together with the deputy mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, and the director general of Fira de Barcelona, Constantí Serrallonga.
